MILC Metaverse Partners with ION POWER GRID Association: Starting Global Energy Resource Pooling with Smart City Simulation
MILC Metaverse is set to launch an industrial, real-time simulation on its platform, supervised by leading engineers. This groundbreaking initiative will combine the best technologies and innovations in energy production and infrastructure to develop forward-thinking solutions in the digital sphere to be copied onto the real-world stage. To bring this vision to life, MILC partnered with the ION POWER GRID (IPG) Association, a new non-profit organization based in Austria. Hendrik Hey, CEO and Founder of the MILC platform, was appointed as one of the vice presidents of the IPG Association, driving the integration of blockchain, Metaverse, and AI into his role. “Imagine you’re an American using General Electric. You pay your bill without thinking much about it. But there are countless other energy producers out there — thousands! — generating a lot of energy,” says CEO and Founder of MILC, Hendrik Hey. “You can’t interact with them directly because you can’t manage 100 contracts, and they’re not unified under one company. By introducing a token that all these energy producers agree on, we create a medium that functions like a centralized organization. The MILC Metaverse makes it possible to simulate, plan, and clearly explain technologies and processes before they are implemented in the real world. In the simulation, buildings will be transformed into virtual zero-energy houses and equipped with the latest technology. Virtual car stations will be established, where cars not only consume energy, but supply it. The potential real-world infrastructure for this eventual reality will be planned right inside the MILC Metaverse. A perfect, virtual Smart City will emerge, serving as a model for future cities. Over 1,000 energy producers have already joined the network, along with electricity marketers and infrastructure manufacturers to be announced later this year.
The ION POWER GRID will be a virtual power plant, connecting real energy producers from all over the world with customers of the network through the community token ION-P. Even before the actual launch of the platform, the network already has a theoretical power capacity of thousands of gigawatts — and new partners are joining every day.
“This virtual power plant will be usable for real electricity customers and can also be virtually experienced on the MILC platform,” says Dipl. Ing. Armin Lorsbach, President of the IPG Association. “This promotes much-needed transparency, because, think about it: Many people simply don’t know where and how their electricity gets to the socket in the first place!”
The ION-P token is intended to motivate electricity customers to actively participate in the new energy transition. Through rewards and incentives, an engaged, constructive community will be created. Received tokens can be exchanged for real electricity at any time. Members of the IPG Association will also have access to exclusive reward programs.
Further, the IPG Association invests in innovative technologies, such as the ION POWER STATION. This is a market-ready, clean, and decentralized energy-generation system with up to 3 megawatts of power per hour. Further innovations are to be explored and incubated by the network members.
